Is there a way I can wire in my siren so that I can use the air horn thru the factory horn ring, can it be wired in thru the vip on the back of the spectra head?

Yes, you can but you have to do a little work. First, you must be talking about a Spectra, not a syntor x 9000 for they are diffrent.

1. You have to reprogram the radio, through RSS at the head program to define what the vip pins do.

define as follows:pin 15-horn ring, pin 43-horn, pin 45 horn x-fer.


2. You have to build a harness with a bosche type relay (5 pin) with a vip on one end and relay on the other. 3 wires from vip to relay. Also on the relay side, 2 wires must come off the relay to connect to vehicles horn ring circut.

relay wiring-yor 3 wires from the vip are as follows:

wire #1 pos or hot all the time goes to coil of relay. (ck with test light) pin 86
wire #2 Neg switched when you press the man and sirn at the same time to light both the lights on the dek. (When both lights are on , should give neg signal to the relay to make it close) ck with test light---goes to coil of relay.pin 85

wire #3 goes to horz contact of relay, pin 87A

veh wiring-horn ring from steering wheel, pin 30 on relay.
veh wiring out to horn, pin 87 on relay.

3. You must be sure to plug your 3 wires into the VIP plug in the proper pin holes that match the numbers that you defined in step 1.

4. You have to set air horn as man default in siren conf rss.

It should work. With sirn and man lights off on DEK, you have reg car horn. With both lit, you should have siren/airhorn.
