I have an Astro Spectra that doesn't want to send Astro calls. It responds to inbound calls but will not ack the sender. When a page is selected from the list on the head it goes through the motions but the transmitter never comes on. The TX light shows on the head and it tries repeatedly but nothing shows on the wattmeter. Same for ack- the light comes on repeatedly but no RF visible.

Anyone ever seen this before?

OK- The transmitter does pulse- I suspect that it's frequency related as it's working on all channels except for a Ham channel around 445 MHz. The call function does work when manually keyed, but a page that the radio sends with it's own PTT does not.

Are there related settings that I am overlooking?

It's an RLH per the model number.

do both radios have unique IDs?

you CANNOT page yourself properly.. it looks like it would work, but for some reason it doesnt.. i have tried this on 2 identical XTS3000s and as long as they both had the same ID one could not page the other.. now BOTH would recieve pages from other radios with their own unique IDs..

Yes- they are unique IDs.

Check if you have configured the signalling menu to have a long enough preable, this prevented me from doing this in the past.
Had this exact problem.
Also try it on another frequency, sometimes when this is done on an out of band freq it has issues, had that exact issue.
