Hi,

I doesn't look like a used MTS microphone connector board will work to make this cable.

Where you have new pins mounted, I have circuit traces, no holes.

I finally had to make a circuit board to do the job from scratch, but what board is used/ pictured in the photo (part #) or what was it salvaged from?

Also, how can these spring loaded pins be purchased?
Is there a part number anyone knows of,and/or a suggested place to buy from?

Hi There,

I am sure Monty wont mind me pointing out that his photo does show 'the amazing vanishing black wire!' on the rear of the KVL plug. Those in-the know will already understand that its intertwined with the screen/ground wire on the KVL connector, for those who had not realised, thats where it is!

I wonder Monty why you have marked the lower pin on the short row of the radio connector with a 'black box', is this to show it removed? Surley if you remove this pin it wont give ground to this radio acc pin, failing to put the radio into 'KEYLOAD' mode. Maybe I am reading too much into this...

Thanks again Monty for your contributions, always appreciated.

Cheers,

Zap,

I used a mic connector. I just had to drill an extra hole in th PCB for one more pin. All together this hack job turned out ok. It works fine.
