got a fleet load of 1500 Mod 1.5 & 2500 Mod 1.5, they are all mated to a RSM with volume buttons and Emergency buttons, it escapes me what mod# they are...

the top radio orange button is set to emergency, i was under the assumption that the mic mimicked the top radio emergency button, but nope, not working...

what do you guys think?

I thought the commander style MIC's do not work with the 1500/2500 series radios. You could only use the normal speaker mic's.

I know the ones brought up by the OP are not "full" channel selectable ones, but I think they fall in to the same category.

In speaking with Jeff (escomm) last night about a similar issue, he said that the reason why the commander/gps mic's do not work with the 2500's is because the data is on a different pin, and they'd have to change the design to make them work. I don't know if what Jeff and I were discussing involves the simple non-channel changing ones as well, but I figured I'd bring it up for discussion.

apparently, it WILL work... in the Radio Config Menu, Under Radio Wide Options --> Emergency Tab.

MAN DOWN must be checked, Pre/Post 1second, this is per motorola...

I couldn't get my commander mic (RMN5021A) to work on my XTS2500 at all, not one bit. It would work on my 5000s or HT1000s (basic functions only on Jedi radios) but that was all. I'm suprised that Motorola didn't make the 2500 to work with it. ??

Rayjk110, have you tried the above instructions... the 75x xts1500's and xts2500's now have the commander mic working 100% including the emergency button...
