High current output 13 volt power supply info needed

Post by Jim202 »

Looking for information on high current 13 volt power supplies that can be used to power radios in a mobile
command vehicle. Need something in the order of at least 100 amps or larger. Expect that a battery bank
will be needed to work with the AC powered supply.

IOTA Engineering is a popular supplier to the public safety market. The DLS-90 with the IQ4 option should fit your bill as far as charging a battery bank. Not sure how many radio work stations there will be in this Mobile Command Vehicle but a battery bank may be overkill. Space is usually at a premium in MCV's. How many radios do you expect to be transmitting at the same time that would require a battery bank; or is this vehicle expected to operate in many places where no plug in power is available ?
