Motorola DSS III questions (Quantar)

Anyone know if the "DSS III" data station can be converted to an ASTRO Voice station, a-la Quantar with a Station Control Board swap, etc. ?

while i do not have the official answer to this, i would imagine swapping the epic board would do the trick..

if i can remember, ill ask the S.T. when he comes down in a week or so...

Yes, please do ask. I'll also ask our local ST's next time I get a chance.

I have an EPIC that's listed as Conv/6809/ATAC RX, and it came out of a Quantar receiver. I'm sure I can reconfigure it using RSS to operate as a conventional station, provided the rest of the hardware will talk to it.
