sloped surface nmo mount source question Maxrad?

I have seen on our Georgia State Patrol cars an nmo mount that adapts to a slanted surface (rear fender top) at first I thought it was something the State radio shop had rigged but its actually a bought piece its very similar to what you see or used to see at base of am/fm antennas especially on aftermarket ones.
I thought I saw one on a website but now cant remember where I know Antenex doesnt offer it, is it Maxrad? ...anybody have a part number or source for those
Thanks

Take a look at these mounts they look like a good solution for the sloped area on the rear fenders of the crown vic.

Based on the drawings, it looks like all they did was combine a long UHF/SO-239 barrel-type connector with a NMO adapter nut and center pin and a pair of custom-machined bushings. It's a neat-looking unit and I'm sure it's sturdy as hell, but since it uses a SO-type connector I'd be leery about using one for UHF and up. Maybe they could (or do) consider making a unit with a long N barrel connector instead?

1. How does one go about drilling a hole for this being that it is on a sloped surface?
2. What size hole does this require? Is it the same 3/4 inch hole as a regular nmo mount?

I need to do the same, slope mount for an NMO antenna,
and the Maxrad doesn't make the mpm26 anymore.
Also the link to the metrocomms.net product noted above doesn't work either.
Suggestions?
