Align/Calibration of Motorola R2410 & R2200 Monitors

Fellow Forum Members,

I have both of the above mentioned monitors and found then to receive off frequency. Is there a manual available or an easy way align them? I really don't want to spend the money to send them out for calibration if I don't have to or can get them done cheap. I use them primarily to maintain ham radio equipment.

Regards,
Larry

If you know the frequency of a simulcast system, monitor that frequency and adjust the reference oscillator for minimum error. A control channel for an 800 MHz trunking system (analog) would also work.

I have another monitor that is calibrated and can use that as an RF source. What I need to know is what to adjust and its location for each unit.

There is a 10 MHz TCXO (or OCXO in the /HS models) that is located in the left rear portion of the monitor. That is your reference oscillator.
