MW-520 upgrade questions

hello, I am thinking of purchasing a mw-520 700mhz processor for use with uiview and APRS use. Does this computer use standard intel hardware, for example, can I upgrade to a 933mhz processor and 512 meg ram?

Nope. Its bonded to the board. The 500 and 700mhz units will work just fine for APRS.
I had a 500 and 700 unit with 256mb installed running (at the same time):
WinXPsp2
UI-View32 (with UI-NWS, NWS-GET, with Precsion Maps)
Verizon PC Datacard
Garmin nRoute
IM software
GPS Gate 2.5
Just make sure that the CPU is in a bracket when running XP otherwise the CPU will cook. A regular spectra bracket will work.
