We have implimented a UHF Simulcast Narrow Band system in my county, a few departments on the system are using HT1250 with a Quick Call II personality for paging to alert fire and EMS personal, these agencies who are using such are stating their minitors are activating all the time, but the HT1250 are bairly if ever alerting. The radios activated fine when the agenices were on the "Old" dispatch channel, UHF single transmitter with receivers programmed as wideband.
Tripping the radios with a service monitor, they seem to activate fine.
Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have any suggestions on settings that may help?

Re: HT1250 Quick Call II
Do you suppose that since the HT1250 receives better than the Minitor that the overlap area is larger for them and they are being affected by the time of arrival settings of the simulcast audio delay?

Re: HT1250 Quick Call II
First, let me apologize for asking this in this post, but it is a similar question about Quick Call II. The MT1000 had the switch on top to put the portable in a 'Tone Alert' mode. Can the HT1250 be put in a 'Tone Alert' mode? I have tried every setting in the menu, but can't seem to get it to limit it 'opening' the portable on the programmed tones.
Re: HT1250 Quick Call II
No such option on the 1250. What you need to do in the CPS is go to the personality, in the Signaling tab, make sure the correct Rx system is selected and change the signaling squelch type to "And" instead of "Or". And = Correct PL AND Tones, Or = Correct PL OR tones.

The bandsplit is only a suggestion.

Re: HT1250 Quick Call II
Thanks bezking. That was kind of the conclusion I came too, but was hoping I was wrong. I had it alerting on the tones, however, just wasn't sure if it had the 'tone alert' option. Thanks.
