While on that topic, Can a 438-470 radio (astro saber) have the freq for rx raised a few mhz?
With the CPS Win astro you can get to 476 from what I have heard but before I buy rss I wanted to know for sure.

The UHF Astro Saber bandsplits are 403-470 and 450-520 MHz. They're continuous splits, no sub-bands. So no hacking is required but if you want to exceed the software limits, that info is on batlabs.

The Astro Spectra (Gov't band 403-420 Mhz) will not go any higher than that, they are sub banded where the Astro Saber will go from 403 to 470 Mhz. I've tried on my agencies Astro Spectra.
Just my 2 cents

I would post a message in the For Sale/Trade section, someone might be willing to trade you.
I'd consider buying it just to play with, but other than that, i couldn't see spending all that much for the opertunity to play

Unfortunatly the Astro Spectra's don't like too go out of band. I use a 500 mhz Astro Spectra and tried to get it to recieve on 460mhz and I could get the software to accept the frequency but the radio would not recieve it. No luck with the VHF Astro Spectras either.
