I've been asked to provide some suggestions to a local police department for encryption. They're currently using several XTS3000 in the conventional mode.

So what do you want to know?

Digital or analog? If digital, use DES-OFB. If analog, use DES-XL. Dispatch console will need a DIU. What kind of repeaters?
