MW800 / MW810 VGA cable

Understanding that FKN8090A (Display to normal VGA connector) is quite rare, would using the FKN8144A (MW800 to VGA) with a gender changer in-line work in reverse? The Centronics connector looks to be the same on the display and the MW800... ? I'm looking to interface a Toughbook to a MW800 screen.
