XTL5000 Programming Cable Confusion

Post by Andy Brinkley »

When I look at the reference page in the software it list about 8 different cables.

What cable do I need to program a mid power XTL5000 with a W5 control head?

I would prefer purchasing the most versatile cable for future as my programming needs grow.

TIA

The most versatile cable would be one of the rear 26-pin cables... USB is going to be much faster than serial. At least the rear 26-pin will program all the mid-power O series as well...
