whats the trick to get more items in a single scan list ? currently i am limited to 10

Depends on what firmware and CPS version your using.

both 16

16.00.01 firmware. 8meg radio. Any ideas?

Without a bit more information, I don't have a good answer, but I'll try.

If you're a user and your programming person has limited you to 10 via a fixed scan list, you're stuck there until you get that re-programmed by them.

If you're a programmer and you've got 16.xx.xx of firmware and CPS and all settings are correct, I'm not sure what isn't allowing you to add the last 6. Have you tried the old M standard...write again and again until it works? I'm flashing some to 16.xx.xx next week and will give it a try at this end.

Trunking limits you to 10 scan list members when you use talkgroup scan, I think the OP is asking for a work around for that, not conventional scan...

Yes. I forgot to mention scanning trunking talk groups... so i am stuck with 10 ? meh..

Conventional voting scan is also limited to 10 members max so there's nothing you can do aside from maybe a different MFG radio such as a tait or a harris radio, but I don't have operating experience with any of them.

Except that I thought I heard that R16 raised the limit to 15 talkgroups?

Where you seen CPS ver 16.06? Latest 16 gen CPS was R16.01 and next is R17. And I can't find 0A value at offset specified in CPS R16.

It will give you 15 members in a trunk list, no more in a conventional list.

I posted the following in another similar post about v17...I made the change as specified in the v17 thread, but only my priority monitor list increased to 15, not my talkgroup list. Any suggestions?

Change it from Talkgroup to priority scan and you should get 16 if I recal right. I know my portable is 16 in trunking, but when i go to conventional i end up with 10 channels as that is set for talkgroup scan.
