Does anyone happen to have a spare file for a model 2 control head they could slide myway?

All mine are front mount radios

Any other common problems or will it come down to testing each IC and find the faulty one?

Is there a common IC that dies out alot thats a simple fix?

I got a UHF MCS2K in the mail today. Has a fail code of Defective IC. Is there a way to find out what one is blown? Or a diagram of their location?

Im trying to program a Type IIi system, im not sure on how to enter the info for the size code and fleet id.
I have a agency of 2, fleet of 1, and sub of 16.

And i only have one com port on each computer

Today i did get it to read with astro cps but my radio would keep booting up and shutting down every second so it would keep failing

I have a question about RSS and CPS
My radio was/is programed with a dos ver of RSS. I have an astro and normal ver of CPS. When i connect my radio to the computer and try and read it with CPS or the astro ver nothing happens at all. But when i switch back to the dos ver it works. Why is this?

Ok after messing around with it i fixed all the errors. Now it works again. Only thing i cant reprogram it. I get the EEProm versions do not match error when ever i try. The the error 16

I got the busy line bus fixed. I had a choped wire on my cable somehow. Also got the fail 999 to go away. I read the codeplug and now iv got a FL 01/82. When i try to reprogram it it says "Error Number 15 Has Occured"
Software versons do not match.
How do i fix this one? I used R05.03.00 to read it ...

How can i fix the busy line locked? I think once i fix that i can do the rest

Iv never had any problems in the last 4 years transmitting or programming any radios with the way i have them setup now.. I went to radio shack to get a power amp but it wouldnt put out the power to transmitt on.. so i took it back and got a bigger one.. same ...

I got my ribless cable (about time) cost me 70bucks for it.
My remote mount a7 800mhz spectra is hooked up to a car battery in the house with a car battery charger on it to always give it power.
When i hook teh programming cable up to the rear DB15 connector, connect the yellow wire to the car ...

Anyone know of a place i can get a codeplug for a 800mzh spectr?
Or anyone who has one?
