Maybe someone out there can help me. I need help converting some VHF Sp50 & Sp50+ 2 channel radios to 10 channel radios.
I have tried to understand the HEX code editor and it has not worked for me. Does someone else know how to get it to work? or fix the hex code so that it will think the 2 channel ...

You could prolly go to Radio Shack and get a new LED and install it yourself if your good at small stuff like that. Be careful installing it.

I currently have a simple Galls wig-wag flasher on my truck. It seems to work fine. The one from Galls has to be mounts in the vehicle somewhere because it is not weather resistant.
Federal Signal also has a decent one I believe. I also think it can be mounted under the hood.

USB to Serial adapters
I use a USB to serial adapter for programming and it seems to work. I had to change the default COM Port setting from Com port 10 to either COM Port 1,2,3 or 4. (RSS's usually only see 1-4).
