I'm converting an old Moxy radio from the hard-wired mic to the RJ-45 style. Why these models had the mics hard-wired is beyond me.
And, it doesn't make sense that the mic wire leaves the very back of the radio. All it does it make it harder to use the mic in mobile cituations.
Enough of my whining for today.
Anyone know what motorola's pin out of the RJ-45 mics are? I could always make up my own pinout, but if I went to a modern mic, it wouldn't work.
Thanks!

We do this all the time.
On your RJ45 box, with the socket towards you:
-Top left should be a green wire in the connector box, this is Ground,
-Top right should be a red wire, Mic Audio
-Under the red should be a black wire, PTT
The Moxy mic wire colours are:
- Red: Mic Audio
- Black: Mic Ground
- Green: PTT
- White: PTT ground
So put the Moxy Black & White goes to green wire in the RJ45
Red goes to Red in RJ45
White wire goes to Black in the RJ45.
HMN3008 works great then.
