There are a bunch of icons that light up on my screen when I power up, and most go off. Right now though, I have the open circle (meaning not secure) and I know what the circle with line through it. So, What do these mean:
I have a pic of a battery that stays on all the time, even after the battery has been fully charged. What does that mean?
On certain channels, I have a speaker lit up with a line through it, does that mean it is a RX only channel? I dont think so, as I can TX on it.
Also, on another channel, I have this wide m, and when I key it up, on the RX channel it makes almost like a modat sound, does this mean modat? It has a secure module installed, but im in clear (if that has anything to do with it).
Then, there is a musical note and a star, that wont light up for any channels I have, what the heck are those for?
As you can see, Im not too up on sabers, and just got 3 in, so Id like to learn about them. Thanks guys!
PS... what options can I set the 1 and 2 buttons below the PTT to perform? Thanks!
What do all these things on my saber screen mean? :)

Let me try to answer some of your questions. These are from my Saber II/III instruction book. The battery is good when it stays lit all the time. When the battery is blinking that means that it needs a recharge. The speaker with a line through it means coded squelch. It is for the receive squelch for that channel. The "M" thing is indicating that the channel is used with a repeater. The star means that there are more menu options available. I have no clue what the musical note means. The two buttons below are repeater access tone buttons. They can be used to signal repeaters. Some place I saw in the message boards some one used it for something else. You must have a 6D or 8D core to make use of the RAT buttons. Hope this helps.
