I have a vhf MT1000 that the channels start changing without pushing a button. The channels run until it is turned off. This is a 99 channel radio. Any ideas?

Could be a controller problem, or it might just be a stuck or shorted button.

To test the button theory, try flippilng the display (assuming that your radio has display flip enabled) by holding both buttons down until the display reverses (This will also reverse which button is up and which is down).

If the channels run one way (i.e. up) when the display is in normal mode, and the opposite direction (i.e. down)when inverted, then you probably have a stuck or shorted channel button. If the run the same way regardless of the display orientation, I would be thinking controller problem.
