What radios do you own?: Too many

Post by PETNRDX »

Ok, MCXperts... do I have a wiring or software error, or is there something wrong with the radio? Just got it, don't know its history, so far love the features & how well it works. I see why people like them so much.

VHF 56 modes, 8 zones, etc.

Unless the radio had been modified by the user before you, then there is a problem with the radio. As long as the volume works, you can still run it mobile. You can select ignition operation in the software which will require a seperate lead for switched power. When the vehicle is started, the radio will come on and stay on until you shut off the ignition. I've never seen a MCX1000 that you can disable the on-off switch with software.Good Luck, Great Radio, I have four.
