Emergency Button on HT1250

on my Ht1250 the Emergency Button works half of the way its suppost to. When i push it all it does is make the loud tone over and over. It doesnt transmit anything over the air and i have tired 3 or 4 different setups in the CPS. any suggestions? Thanks ahead of time. Donnie

It sounds like you have the top button programmed for "emergency siren on", as opposed to just "emergency". Also verify that your MDC signalling system is set up properly, and is enabled on the channel you want it to work on. If you still can't get it to play nice, send me the codeplug & I'll have a look at it for you. Be aware I'm using the latest CPS version, in case you aren't.

In the 'control button' menu, set up the top button as "emergency on/off" instead of "emergency siren"

Go into 'signalling' under the 'emergency' tab and set everything up from here for the emergency function.
