my saber service manual shows display boards in saber II/III radio exploded view diagrams, but not for the saber I. i understand saber IE radios must have the display board (must it be an 8k for all 2 zones/24 channels?). where is channel data for the saber I stored if there no display board is present?

It is usually stored in the front sheild eeprom on Saber 2 and three models. On the one models it is stored on the eeprom mounted on the main board. On the 1e it is in the front sheild 2k eeprom.

Hope that helps
