Streamlight Litebox Vehicle Mounts

Post by spareparts »

The group I volunteer for has a bunch of Liteboxes in services. Overall, we are extremely please with the abuse the lights have taken, but do have a minor quibble: The 2 pin connector on the light seems to loosen up & not adaquately grasp the pins in the charging rack.

As a PM measure, we now routinely change the pigtail when we do the batteries, but it has been an issue where the light is frequently removed from the rack. BTW, it *does* gets racked when not in use. Too easy to become a projectile & injure someone.

Anyone have a fix for this that does not involve frequent dissasembly of the light and/or charging rack?

I know the problem! Unfortunately, if this happens, you have to change the pigtail. I place a little bit of silicone paste in the female connectors to make them slide easier.
