Amplified Speaker Help

Post by KC8NIY »

I'm in need of 3 amplified speakers for my install. I prefer 10w output, or close to it. Does anyone have any suggestions, or better yet model numbers to look for. They do not need to be radio specific as I will modify them anyway.

Thanks for the help!

Speco makes a nice one. Can't remember the model number off the top of my head. It works and holds up well. I get them from Tessco.

I see the Speco AES4, 10w amplified. I do not have a Tessco account however. And your experience with it vs a /\/\ model? I would prefer /\/\ for the install, but I'm definately open to suggestions. Thanks again for the help.

It is the Speco AES-4. Works great and cheaper than anything with Batwings on it. Is weather resistant, not water proof.

Thanks for the help Jim and commtek. For lack of having a Tessco account and too lazy to look elsewhere, I'm going with 3 HSN1005A's from Victor Xray. The suggestions were certainly appreciated though!
