Fail 001 can be caused by several different problems. Start by deletting the entire code plug archive and start from scratch ading one personality at a time and then programming and checking to make sure it works. Sometimes an MLM may beloaded up with somuch inf to fast. if it is an older radio, it may be getting tired.

If you still have the fail problem and you are sure all parts are original and codeplug in is correct, check all connections inside the radio and look for fadded solder on the boards.

If the problem is intermitent , it will most likely be a cold solder or a component overheating.

Finally, if you have another 800, start swapping boards until it goes away.

Other than that , you need a good tech bench to locate the problem or send it to someone who does.
