Flasher Module (like the hazzard lights one in the car)
What interesting effects can be made with one of these? I am wondering wiring differences, possible functions, flash patterns possible, etc. I want to know what can be done with one of these to possibly control my Tail-lights/reverse lights in a flash control for my 1987 Chevy Silverado. If you can please include detail of wiring to and from the flash module / switch / etc. (does not have to include specific for my truck.) I.E. The Pos connects to .... the neg connects to.... etc. etc.
Thanks in advance,
Ace

If you want your brakelights and reverse lights to flash, use an appropriate "flashback" flasher from Sound Off, Inc. if you can find one.
It comes with proper isolation from the factory system and will flash them forever if you hook it up right.

The flashing is the option I want, the ones I am finding is a two prong 2-6bulb flasher. I am wondering if I install this to +/- or + in light out, or - in light out. .... etc.... and what all can be done,
I.E.

It's thermal and still sits inline. They are not made for emergency warning use (unless you are Galls and sell it for $40.00 in a metal box).

You can use a relay and one of the el-cheapo flashers to make it alternate.
Tie one lightbulb AND the relay coil to the output of the flasher. Tie the other lightbulb to the other contact on the relay (whichever one is "off" when the flasher is "on".
