Okay, Here goes. I am using a zetron model 38 controller interfaced to a R-100.
I have it set up, and I am programming it with DTMF thru a portable.
I changed the access code from the factory 12123 to a number I thought it accepted, it gave the okay beeps, and I exited programming mode.
The clincher::: I can't access programming mode with what I thought to be the new code.
QUESTION>>>> How do you hard reset this unit. There is no reset key, or exact mention in the manual, other than possibly pulling the eproms to wipe out the memory...Thanks, Rob
How to reset Zetron 38????

Okay, So the good news is that is figured out the password, and now have my access.
But it is still a interesting question that if I forgot the password, what exactly is the hard reset.
The manual says if the controller fails that holding a dtmf key for 15 secs. will do a full system restore, but I don't think that will reset the PW.
The manual could be layed out a little better.

Yep, that's my one main beef with Zetron. The products are excellent, but the manuals can sometimes leave much to be desired. You will often find extremely important information in very obscure & hard to find areas of the manual. For instance, it may tell you at the beginning of the 'programming' chapter to enter a default access code. Yet, the access code isn't located anywhere in that chapter! You have to jump to perhaps 'general operation' or 'installation' to find it.
The later manuals are better, but they still read as if you already know all about the product, and just use the manual for reference.
