Does anyone have the pinout and voltages for j8 and j9 on this radio? This is the connector that the control head connects to. I have two of these radios in a desktrac and I think I have a problem with the front board. Thanks for your help.

Elray, there are the original connection/pin out that CAN be used in the DeskTrac. THe later radios wil not be capable of hooking into a DeskTrac due to the different connector pin assignments.
I am not sure just what problem you are having, I f you would provide more info, I am sure that a soultion can be had.
I have the DeskTrac manual but there are two different front panel boards.

Hi Will
Thanks for the reply. The front board is a number 8402820H01L front panel numberFRN5353B. I think there is a problem with the front board because I can't get audio out of the receiver when it is connected. I can't program the radio through the front. When I connect a control head to the radio I can get audio but still have problem programming it. I wanted the pinouts so I could measure voltages and find out the problem. I have no book on the unit. Hope this explanes it Will. Thanks for your help.

Elray, did you check the four position switch just to the right of the built-in mic on the front pannel? The counterclockwise position is for programming the radio. The switch routes the data line to each radio and the remote board. In the rear connector on the radio chassis check for speaker audio on pins 15 and 16, they may be not connected, disabling the spkr.
