Do you have to have the system key for a system if you are using 'LAB' software to program an MTS2000?
I have read the codeplug on the radio with no problems...(it took me long enough). It kept saying radio com failed. After taking an eraser to the contacts on the side of the radio I was able to overcome this problem.
I haven't tried to reprogram the modified codeplug back into the radio due to the fact of I don't want to end up with a brick. Just going back to my original question, if I read the radio and can modify the codeplug without the system key, do I need the system key to program the radio?
thanks, and I hope I didn't confuse anyone other than myself...
