My pleasure.
Taken from the HT1000 model specific page is the part #'s for the things you'll need to make up a side connector.
Pins 3905895V04
Baseplate PCB (If needed) 6405241X01
Seal for the Baseplate 3205533W01
Plastic Housing 1505691W08
I have to tell you though, do the codeplug mod. It's easy, free, and allows you to always make changes on the fly even when you have a speaker-mic connected. The programming key is a big pain in the butt.
If you need help making the codeplug mod, please Private message me and I'll help you out.

21patrol, you bet this is where the experts hang out. None other like it.
On the Jedi JT1000, if you leave a programming key on the radio or have a added diode in the speaker mic plug housing as some have done to be able to program in the feild, you get noise on the transmit.
If you do the software change then anyone can change it when you least expect it.

It is very easy to edit the codeplug with
a hex editor, so that you don't need the programming key at all.
see http://www.batlabs.com/visar.html
scroll down to the section on "government mode".
I also see jt1000 programming keys on ebay quite often.
