I have a UHF ht-750 and bought this thing off e-bay so I could hook a amp to my radio and use an external antenna. I bought the AAEN1006, which I just found out is VHF, will it work? The only thing I can see is different is the manual says there are two different RF swithes, I called Motorola dealer, he called Motorola Direct and they won't sell the UHF switch, they say it is a "production only item. Any body have any ideas. I would really like this thing to work.
Thanks,
Tyler

not if you are using a VHF amp section with a UHF radio. It may work somwhat, but you will ruin the amp or the radio, or both over time. I would not try it, and if you HAVE tried it, stop immeadiately. Just dont use the amp (convertacom only) or see if somone will trade you a UHF amp for your VHF. You can use the convertacom with no amp and a 5db roof mount and that would work pretty good if you cant find a UHF amp.
I have a uhf amp, i have a uhf radio, i have a uhf 5dp motorola specturm antenna, but the book on the convertacon says it uses two different rf switches to disable the portable ant. and enable the external ant. I have the vhf switch, is this a true concern or just Ms way of seling more convertacoms.
