2004 Honda ATV

Post by N0RHM »

Our organization just acquired a ATV for use in emergency rescue operations, river and canal. In order to be able to run on the city streets the unit must be classified as a “Emergency Vehicle”. The city fathers have had bad experiences with ATV’s and made it tough to run one on the city streets. What I would like to do is install front and rear red and blue LED flashers. I have noticed a number of them in Galls and such, a dash mount unit would work but I am concerned about being out in the weather. Also, the owner’s manual says to limit the load to the auxiliary power outlet. Has anyone installed emergency lights on an ATV? I am looking for suggestions.

Thanks

I'd do all LED as it will save your charging system and you don't have to mess with power supplys.
