http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 1338569121

I have yet to find out why he posts items and then writes a book about them while including pics of items that arent for sale and you have to figure out what item he's selling to begin with

He is doing it to cover his ass. There is always a bozo who will be high bidder on your stuff and then change his mind and use the old "Your description was not clear enough" excuse. I have seen it many time, anyone who does a lot of ebay work will tell you the same thing.

Then don't bid on it! Or, send him a question and ask. Better to be safer than sorry!

He isn't really misleading, he clearly states that their is only 1 unit for sale and that it is the one in the center. All he is doing is giving you different views of the same part so you will not be confused. He just seems to prefer to do it in one picture instead of 5 or 6. That's all.

I think I speak for more than myself when I say quit your B*tching. You have several options to deal with this issue.

Why don't you look at his feedback - it's 250+! NO NEGITIVES! There's even one persons ebay name that I recognize from this board and another that gave him positive feedback too!

You could email the seller and say I think it's misleading. I don't think he'll change considering how successfull he's been at selling stuff. Why not try to make a difference that way?

If you think you aren't getting anywhere, email [email protected]. Explain to them how you feel.

Don't take it to the board - most of us are quite busy, and would rather spend time helping someone else out than reading your complaints. That's the one thing I think you do best. Complain. Why don't you take it somewhere else if your not going to help people out?

If you have a legitimate complaint, and want to warn others, I can see that not being a problem. This however, doesn't fall into that category IMHO.

Use the ask seller a question and he will answer you. Since I live on the same island as him I was able to talk to him, on the phone. I never got to meet him. Mostly because I could not find the time. He seems like a nice person.

I do a considerable amount of e-baying and would tend to think this person is implying he has more than one to sell even though only one is listed in this particular auction.

I recently purchased a brand new in the box piece of test equipment direct from an e-bay seller. How did I do that you may ask? He had a photo of a dozen or so boxes stacked up of this item displayed in his auction photo..... yet only one was listed. And he also had his website listed at the bottom of the auction page. When I visited there he was advertising the same item listed in the auction at a much lower price. A simple e-mail to him then payment and I had it in 3-days. Yes, he circumvented e-bay and their fees but then again he sold to me at a lower price than the auction he was advertising in ended at.

Some sellers would rather sell a little lower in price faster than wait around for an e-bay auction to end although at a higher price.

Then there is that e-bay phenomenon where the more of the same item that are listed at the same time results in a lower price.

Of course I was not protected by e-bay in the previous transaction but the seller was legit and had good feedback.

I am sure e-bay does not like this but they allow it to happen. They make the rules.

You never know unless you ask.

For what it's worth.....

The e-bay seller mentioned in the above link contacted me and advised he "ONLY" sells through e-bay.

I have no interest in the above auction or item but thought this may be of interest to others that are.

Any references by me in the reply above to deals outside of e-bay were not directed at the e-bay seller mentioned.

Just wanted to clarify that.
