Mot. use to have a retro kit to add binary paging capability to an MSR2000. Now that the Nuc is gone and every other paging tx that works well, has anyone tried making an MTR talk binary to support up to 2400 Pocsag.
Beginning to run out of options to broadcast pager info.
modifying MTR2K for binary paging

We installed an MTR2000 for a customer several years ago for onsite alpha-numeric POCSAG paging, with Advisor Gold pagers in the field. I don't remember the baud rate, but believe it was 1200. In setting it up, I don't recall any distortion of the POCSAG waveform, using the flat TX input of the MTR. So, it's certainly possible.

MTR2K pocsag
Thx both for reply. Sounds like a good news bad news story.
Guess i will have to play around to determine feasibility. Based on these comments I suspect that a busy paging network with several batches being tx'd might prove to be a problem.
