OT: Kenwood TK-2400 VHF portable ***figured out***

Post by Rick Rock »

:-? A friend of mine has a TK-2400 20+ ch. portable complete with scan, top display, etc. but I can't find anything out on this radio or find software to program it. We've decided to sell it and get him a HT1000, but we aren't sure what the radio's worth to try and sell it to get a HT. Any ideas feel free to PM, E-mail, or post a reply- any imput will be appreciated! :o

Are you sure its not a TK- 240 D, Should be 20 channels, top display, 6 characters I think, VHF portable. If I remember right ther is three buttons along the bottom of the display, and a monitor button on the side. The 240 look very similiar in design to the 230's and 250's..... It has been a while since I got rid of mine. also, I think the "D" version was user programmable, but I have no Idea how to do it.

You guys are right! I must need glasses! It's a 240-D, not a 2400. Thanks, all!
