Just looking to see what Chevy might have hidden right behind the dash where I want to install a couple mic clips...
One over in the left area just above the Light Switch control panel .. and another over to the right between the gauges and the central air vent...
I already figured out how and where to mount the lightweight radios ...on the knee panel... now just need to mount the mics..
Thanks,
Ted...

Thanks for the Pro-Fit ... (from the guys that make PROFIT from the money they charge for the piece of metal <wink>)
However this did not answer my question .. but does tell me how to tear down my dash so I can do what I want to do ...
Also this does put the cell phone too far away from the driver to make it a non-hazard (like it ever is?) for the driver to dial/answer...
And if I get another 228,000 miles on this like my last exploder... I will see no degrade in resale value for a few itty bitty holes in the dash .... (yeah what resale value ... it looks like my 17yo daughter gets the 97 exploder with 228,000 miles on it ... )
Thanks for the assistance...

- What radios do you own?: W7 FPP lowband MaraTrac w/AES
With the electrical problems that the TB has, and the cylinder linings that move, I don't think you'll have to worry about 228k miles....hope yours does good, though!
We almost bought a TB, but went for a 04 Exploder instead after reading the horrible TB reviews...so far, I don't regreat leaving my bowtie heritage.
As for the dash, the upper trim piece should pull right off, so take a peek behind it and see if there are any harnesses, etc. hiding back there.

Do not make Sig angry...he'll just keep ringing the bell.
In the chevy's usually the bulkier parts of the dash have a steel plate behind them. Easiest way to see where your looking at mounting around the dash switches is probably to pull out the panel itself. There's usually two screws in the top of the trim around the gauge cluster and the panel should pull right out. Not sure that there's that much meat behind there to screw into but you could probably put something in there...
