PTT ID sidetone length on MT2000

PTT ID beep length on MT2000 with MDC ID

Is there a way to change the amount of time that a MT2000 portable sidetone beeps when you key it up initially?? Just wondering...I have been told it is a little long in our portables.

No, you can disable it though. You can also make the sidetone length depend on the position of the volume control knob too, which tends to make the tone more bearable.

That should read sidetone volume dependent on the volume control position. Length is NOT adjustable.

Where do you find that in the program?? I am having trouble finding the sidetone adjustment on the volume control knob.

Radio wide, Alert tone volume. Set to Volume position.
