Best slick antenna

Post by fd2119 »

I have an MTVA in my car for the Jedi series, and currently have a 1/4 wave antenna on a trunk mount. I'd like to go with something less obvious - maybe a AM/FM splitter, or a cell phone look alike (either on glass or trunk mount). Can anyone make any suggestions, as well as pointing me in the right direction? I'd be using it mostly for recieving, not as much for transmitting, and it'd be primarily in the UHF-T band (490-500 range). Thanks!

I am assuming you don't want any holes drilled, so the best I could suggest, is a sti-co. I have had good results with these on customer vehicles.

The best thing of course would be a NMO mount in the center of the roof.

But, I have had some of the sti-cos perform very well also, some people may disagree.

I use the COMPROD of Canada disguise antenna's, I have had much beeter luch with them than the Sti-Co and the Federal Govt. is going with them also because of performance.
