Firetruck Laptop Mount

Post by Wes »

Hi All,

I am in need of a vehicle laptop mounting bracket for a firetruck. I have seen several laptops mounted in custom cab trucks. This one is for a International conventional cab truck. There is a bench seat and no console.

The laptop needs to be mounted near the passenger side dash area (or between the passenger side and center position). I would like to use some type of swivel mounting bracket that would still allow 3 people to get in/on the bench seat. I would also like to have the ability to swivel the computer between the driver and passenger positions.

Any pics, suggestions will be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Gamber Johnson

Look at the their tall mount for full size heavy duty trucks. They have several clevis and arms to select from for maximum movement.

You can contact Rocco at Inch's Machine Shop in Loomis, Ca(inchstooling.com). He is about to introduce a new swivel mount for fire apparatus. I saw the prototype. They tested it by having a 300lb guy step on it and swiveling around. It worked perfectly.

Out of all mounts that I have tried, L&E Mounts are the sturdiest.

I agree with Jim - L&E is the way to go.

Ive used both L+E and GamberJohnson. I prefer Gamber. ( It helps we are a large dealer) Not to mention L+E ripped off a few of Gambers designs.
