HT1550-XLS VHF?

Am told by supplier in Canada, VHF version of HT1550 not available in the US or Canada? Apparently, Motorola is only manufacturing the UHF version?

The VHF unit is in the price book, i've have yet to order one though, But I haven't seen anything saying Its on order hold or anything like that.
