Hi...I have a qucik question??
I have five fire stations that I want to link together that are no more than 7 mi. apart.
We would need capability to send/recieve data, video (camera surv.), and possibly radio receiver at each station.
I have heard about canopy from motorola, and also microwave.
What is better, and what will work.
And of course the cheapest way with the least amount of intial expense.
And is there licensing involved with some of this equipment.
Thanks, Rob

I should be attending Canopy training the end of May.
But here is what I know right now...
Video - No problem.
Data - No problem (TCP/IP is the base language)
Voice(Radio Reciever) - That what I am hoping to find out.
Range - 35 miles with line of sight
Price - Very affordable. When you consider even unlicened 5.6 GHz microwave setup will set you back $8k per site.
Hope someone else can provide you with more info.

I am attending Canopy training in Schaumburg May 18th & 19th. Is this the class you are referring to? If so, I'll see you there!motisking wrote:I should be attending Canopy training the end of May.
