98 Monte Carlo Questions

Post by KB5TUU »

Where would the power seat harness be, if the car doesn’t have them? I can see in the fuse block that both sides of the plug in are there is no circuit breaker (20a) installed. I also found the cut out for the harness under the driver side seat. On the fuse block there is a fuse labeled power drop (15a), where is it and or can I use it for anything?

Thanks

If it's anywhere near where the Impala's power drop is, it's under the passenger side dash around the glove box area. Just a wild guess tho. :>

The PS harness on a "W" car is under the carpet directly below the seat. It's a 2 pin connector with a #12 orange and black pair.

When you pull the carpet, it's right behind the crossmember that the front of the seat track attaches to. If it's not there, it's safe to assume that you have to run your own power leads.
I've never seen them in the bottom of the B-pillars on a GM, but Ford is famous for placing them in there.
