CP200 Page Channel

Post by motorolamonster911 »

I just programmed a CP200 with a page channel, the same way you would set one up for an HT750/1250/ect...

When tested, the radio alerts, but does not open squelch??

I programmed PL's and everything, even tried screwing around with squelch settings...nothing....

I know this is something simple, so what am I missing????

CP200 Faile Qucik-Call!

Post by PCFD2606 »

Hello

I bought 6 Cp200 for My firedept from a local dealer and they cant figure out how to set up the Quick -call . It does show the led blinking , set to recieve only bugt does not open the squelch.

did you find out any thing?

I see in the software program that you use a TPL do you think this might work?

If your look to do MDC "Call Alert" with voice following, CP do not support this feature.

Here are some common mistakes with Quick Call...

A-The Quick Call system need to be selected in the correct personality.

B-The Quick Call system must be configured correctly...
Call Format
Correct tones / codes

Wow. This is a good example of why being / becoming a Motorola dealer should NOT be easy. These same guys are probably begging to sell Astro, data and consoles!!

You need to set Call Type for 'Sel Call', as opposed to 'Call Alert'. You can then set the radio to reset manually with a button press, or automatically with or without carrier override. Works great.

Wavetar is correct.

The CP200 only has two call types for QCII. Sel-cal (two beeps) then open up the carrier and Call alert (four beeps) and nothing follows.

You have to get up into the PR400 in this series of radio to have Call-alrt w/ voice.

It's a bummer but managable.

What radios do you own?: HT1250, CP200, HT1000, XTS1500

CP200 call alert/w voice

MOTO told me to get call alert and voice, one must select the sel-call option under the QC-II. Then enter tone requirements. Took a while to figure it out, but it works
