Here it is!! What everyone has been waiting for... The interior of the Sportage'!! As you can see, it has the 800 A9 Spectra head, followed by the UHF and VHF Maxtracs...

nice, I love the double-sided tape...

As an aside, I have a GPS antenna stuck to a car with double sided tape. Looks like @$$, but I *still* can't pull the tape off and the car hasn't moved in three months! :-/

It's that locking velco plastic stuff from Radio Shack. I couldn't find a bracket that would hold the 2 Maxtracs together.

Post by TacticalOne »

Tony, how about a peice of flat stock from one mounting bracket hole to the mounting bracket hole on the other radio. (in addition ot the sticky stuff of course)!

Have to say this in defense of velcro. We had a car from one of the local NJ prosocuter's offices last year that was still using the old Syntor 9000 with siren set-ups. (The siren box was mounted to the radio chassis with the 3 or 4 inch wide velcro.) Well, to make a long story short, the car was in an accident (Pretty good speed too). Damn car was totalled and the chassis was ripped from its mounting in the collision, but the velcro holding the siren box held. I've been a strict believer since.

Hallaluejah, and all praise the righteous Lord Velcro!
