MCS2000 HHCH?

Post by mr.syntrx »

In the Batlabs MCS2000 model number list (http://www.batlabs.com/gm900.html), I noticed models with handheld control heads. Motorola's brochures etc don't say anything, and I can't say I've ever seen one. If they're real, what do they look like?

What radios do you own?: XTS3000 III, MTS2000 III,

The control heads look like the ones for GM950 handheld control heads. They look like a handheld mic just longer with the display, and all the other controls.
You can see a picture of it in the Batlabs gallery of Mobiles the GM950.

There is no HHCH for the MCS2000.

The GM950 is the U.K. version of the MCS2000 yes. But I do not know of anyone mating a GM950 HHCH with an MCS2000.

Could it be done?

This would solve a problem I've been dealing with for a while - namely, no convenient space to put a model III MCS in a supervisors vehicle.
Right now, the vehicles in question are Ford Focus sedans, with a factory console between the seats.

The question is -
Would it support the model III w/ 250 modes and one touch signalling?

I think I have one new in the box, and it looks like it has a few function buttons. I thought the lit. stated that it was for the MCS2000. The part number is GMN6147, and it states it for the MCS2000 with 3 push buttons. If you interested drop me a pm.

GMN6147 = Noise Cancelling Microphone (Includes 3 additional Programmable buttons)

Looks like a Jedi speaker mic with 3 programmable buttons.
