Wish my Talon luck!

Post by ESDA20 »

My poor Talon is about to leave home for the big world of Whelen. Off it goes for repair of the imfamous "RF Interference" problem. *sniff* They grow up so quickly.

On a more serious note, has anyone had to send their Talon in for the RF problem and what was Whelen's response? The technical support guy I spoke to on the phone didn't know much, and they don't bother to respond to emails.

Some of the earlier produced Talons cause RF interference on radios. Nasty click click, sometimes even cutting out transmissions completely (like on mine) when the "ballast" (or whatever you call the lighthead) flashes.

Indeed. I haven't heard complaints about it since the Talon first came out last year.
