HELP! I have legally ordered and bought several Quantar repeaters on VHF, 125 Watt, with battery revert/charger. I also ordered and bought the "complete" service manuals from M. Missing are the schematics for the 625 watt power supply (110 VAC) with battery revert. M says that these are supplied by an outward source who do not give out the schematics. Can any one help??
Have the same problem with the 100 watt VHF MTR 2000 power supply schematics.

This is normal. You will not be able to get a copy. It is the same now with most of the switching power supplies such as the multi unit chargers and the base staion power supplies.

What manuals have you looked in?

For the Quantar I would have thought it was in the 6881088E90 schematics tome.

Unfortunately, the diagram isn't in that manual either (I've looked!). All that is in the manual is a block diagram showing the voltages, etc.

Correct, there are NO schematics for the modules, RX, Exciter, TX and PS, in my manuals either. I have to fly blind.
Motorola says the modules are NOT feild repairable (hense no roadmaps!)but they will exchange any bad module under warranty or an exchange price.

Wolfgang, what is the PN (TPNxxxx/CPNxxxx) of your PSU? I wonder if the 625 watt version is a Quantro PSU?

Our Quantars are the 110W jobs and have the (from memory) CPN 6065 AC/DC board, the CPN 6067 DC/DC board and the CPN 6074 battery revert. The scematics are all in the maunal I mentioned.

Will, if you're looking for Quantar TX/RX schematics they are in the 6881088E90 Service Manual which includes schematics, parts lists, and PCB parts layouts.

Like most Motorola radios there are two technical manuals needed for component level service.

There is the general Quantar 'Instruction Manual' 68P81095E05-0 (more like theory of operation) with block diagrams but no schematics and then the mother of all manuals, the 6 inch thick $200 'Service Manual' 6881088E90-E, no theory but all schematics.

Sorry Astro Spectra, but while most schematics/board diagrams are in that manual, there is nothing regarding the inside of the power supply modules. (at least in the -O version I have!) If there is a supplement or change that does have the P/S stuff, I'd like to have it, 'cuz the ONLY problems I've had with our Quantars has been the Power Supply!

OK,

My manual has the following component level schematics, parts lists, etc:

TPN1185B 60 Hz with Battery charger 500W PSU also used in MSR and MSF.
TPN1186B as above w/o battery charger.
TPN1268B 50 Hz w/o battery charger.
TPN1269A 50 Hz with battery charger.
CPN6065A AC/DC converter baord.
CPN6067A DC/D Cconverter baord.
CPN6074B Battery revert.

What model/module/boards are you looking for?

Yoú´re right, Hartley, I have only had problems with the Power supplies. I also have complete schematic/board diagrams for all cards.... except the darn power supply: the TPN 6185A 625 W with bat charger; AC input.
