Post by commstar »

Greetings all, found this quite by accident, searched BL but see no mention of it in archived posts. If it is old news I apologize, if it is not dont blame me if this thing is wrong because I have no personal information as to its veracity. Looks good tho.......

Yep I've used it several times to do decimal-to-hex conversions for those out-of-band Saber frequencies. Very handy utility.

Just had to re-learn editing in DOS that's all! 8)

There is a much better solution,to program the Saber/MX 1000 out of band!
You only have to change the highest and/or the lowest frequency in the
.exe file.

Search and edit this strings,to the frequencies,you need.

Sample:
400ecf19 = 433000000 Hz
00DE391A = 440000000 Hz
80A1031C = 470000000 Hz

In R07.01.00,you can find the bandlimit frquency block between
319044 and 319132 (dec.)

Are you sure this is also working for the Saber series? (different RSS than the MX 1/2/3000 series).

Saber out-of-band

Hello All,

I can confirm that Andrea's method works fine for Saber RSS V 7.01. 00.
What I'd like to find is the same thing for System Saber RSS! (Syssaber lab works, but won't run on a Pentium...)
