Greetings:
Our shop that I work for frequently services 800Mhz trunked maxtracs.

We recently aquired a used fleet of 900Mhz
Trunked radios.
However our rss cannot read them.
It says "model definition not found insert disk 3"
Our shop has two original floppy disks,
the box, and manual for the rss.
Did they loose disk 3 or am I going nuts?
Guess it's rather obvious what the problem
is, but I expected everything to be installed
when they setup the rss, and now I don't seem to be able to fix it.

No big deal, just wanted to play with these
new radios, been a slow week!

There is a file on each disk that is called "disk.id". You can edit that file and change the id number to any disk that it is looking for. Then it will be able to find the files. The RSS looks for the disk.id file first before it copies the files to make sure it has the correct disk. Even if the files are there it wont see them unless the disk.id file is correct. If you have any more problems send me a private message and I might be able to help more.
